Booth 500 & 600
Huayuan Art is pleased to announce our participation in the 2016 edition of Artexpo New York. We will present two booths of cave painting replicas, thangkas, Suzhou embroideries, and other unique art pieces from East Asia that have never been presented outside of Asia before.
Our cave painting replicas are hand-painted by Chinese artists Gao Shan, Shen Yongping, Liu Junqi, and Shi Dunyu, based on murals from the Mogao, Yulin, and Maiji mountain caves. Our thangka collection includes depictions of Buddhist deities, and mandalas, which visually describe a deity’s realm. Suzhou embroidery is the most celebrated style of Chinese silk art, with a history of more than 2,000 years. We are presenting works by Wang Lihua, a Suzhou embroidery artist nationally renowned for her mastery of subtle changes in line, color, and luster.
